Over the last few months, we have been in negotiations with the Atlanta Broadcasters for the rights to exhibit their programming on our Basic line-up.  We have also received our notices of annual contractual increases from all of the different cable programmers.  These annual increases, in the aggregate, are typically a couple of dollars per month per home.  For the past three years, Plantation Cablevision has fully absorbed those cost increases with no corresponding rate hikes to our customers.  This year, due in large part to the Atlanta Broadcasters, our total programming costs increases will exceed $8.00 per home per month.  We can not absorb 100 percent of these increases and must raise our rate for Basic Cable for the first time in 3 years.  Effective March 1, 2012, Basic Cable rates will increase to $49.95 per month. 

HBO rates will also increase.  Effective March 1, 2012 HBO will be $15.95 per month.  While we are prohibited from telling you exactly what we pay for HBO, we think you should know, we will make less than $1.00 per month at the $15.95 rate.   

We will be adding brand new channels and additional standard digital versions (SD) of a few existing analog channels. The advantage of carrying 3 different formats is all your TV’s can work no matter how new or old. The new HD TV’s with QAM tuners will allow you to receive 157 channels including 33 HD programs and 37 digital music without  a cable box.

The following programming changes will occur on or before February 1, 2012.

·        NAT GEO WILD SD will be added to Digital Basic on Channel 133

·        NAT GEO WILD HD will be added to HD Boxes on Channel 557

·        SPEED Channel SD will move from Action Pack Channel 182 to Digital Basic Channel 132

·        FUEL TV SD will be added to the Action Pack on channel 182

·        MeTV SD will be added to basic on channel 113.1 and cable box channel 633

·        A&E SD will be added to basic on channel 113.2 and cable box channel 634

·        CNBC SD will be added to basic on channel 113.3 and cable box channel 635

·        MSNBC SD will be added to basic on channel 113.4 and cable box channel 636

·        ESPN CLASSIC SD will be added to basic on channel 113.5 and cable box channel 637
